Inc. magazine today released its annual list of the 500 fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S. And while no company from Washington state cracked the top 25, there were some notable companies that offered good showings this year. By my count, 16 diverse companies from the state -- ranging from a kid's clothing retailer to a social media firm to a maker of wearable digital cameras -- made the list. The top company in the state this year was QuoteWizard, a Seattle insurance company which finished in 36th place. It posted revenue last year of $9.1 million and three-year revenue growth of 5,950 percent.
Here's a look at the top 16 from Washington state with their position, three-year revenue growth and 2009 revenue, according to the Inc. list.
